Aquatic habitat surveys collect information about the quality of stream or lake habitat from a fish's perspective.
The following are different projects of the sub-type Aquatic Habitat Surveys that have occurred in the Blazed Alder1 reach.
Alternatively, you can see details on all projects of the sub-type Aquatic Habitat Surveys in the Sandy River Basin.

Habitat surveys quantify the amount and quality of fish habitat types in individual streams or stream segments. Data are used to identify restoration opportunities, evaluate restoration projects, and to describe streams for NEPA consultations. Certain projects select and survey shorter stream segments spread out over larger geographic areas to evaluate the condition of habitat for entire fish populations or to monitor the results of the Northwest Forest Plan. In some cases, physical data is supplemented by biological data such as riparian vegetation, aquatic invertebrates, or periphyton data.
